About this Event:

Join the Nevada Department of Wildlife for the second of a three-part birding series on Sunday April 19. This April birding program will take place in the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest (Mt Charleston area) at the Deer Creek Picnic Site and highlight our “Nesting Neighbors”. We will spend the morning birding on a short, easy hike to the picnic area while discussing spring nesting activity. The wooded path is paved, but please wear comfortable, closed-toed walking shoes. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced birder, this program is perfect for anyone who wants to meet fellow bird lovers, learn about bird behavior, and enjoy the beauty of nature.

SPACE IS LIMITED, REGISTRATION REQUIRED

Don’t forget to bring water, snacks, and sun protection. We will provide binoculars, or you can bring your own. Any questions can be directed to Brooke Detommaso at brooke.detommaso@ndow.org

About the Program

Overview:

Nevada is full of diverse wildlife just waiting to be discovered. There is much to learn about the animals that inhabit our great state, from animals found in our urban areas to those in the most remote places. Join us for a Wildlife Education Program where our educators will open the door for you to learn more about the bats, birds, snakes, and lizards of Nevada and so much more. These programs are for all age and experience levels. Registration is required.
