About this Event:
Join NDOW's Angler Educators in Elko for this weekly, progressive fly-tying class for beginners. Each week we will build upon skills, starting with streamers, moving on to nymphs, and then dry flies. Class meets Thursdays at 6:30pm, from October 29, 2026 through March 4, 2026 (excluding weeks of Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years). Attendance at every class is encouraged, but we understand that conflicts may come up throughout the season. If you expect to have 5 or more absences during the season, please consider leaving the spot open for another student. All equipment is provided. Suitable for participants 10 and up. Questions? Contact nicole.hamblin@ndow.org or 775-777-2388.

About the Program
Overview:
We may live in the driest state in the nation, but there are plenty of amazing fishing opportunities to be found in Nevada. From the classroom to the water, our Angler Education clinics will introduce you to various fishing techniques and all equipment needed for your next fishing outing. Clinics are open to everyone and are free, but a valid fishing license is required.
