About the Program

Overview:

A person 12 to 17 years of age must complete this in-person class to receive their Hunter Education card. A completed workbook or online completion certificate is a prerequisite to enter the class. A person 18 years of age or older can complete this requirement online. Hunter Education is a requirement to possess a hunting license in Nevada for anyone born after January 1, 1960.

Is Hunter Education Required in Order to Buy a License?

Yes, in many cases. In order to buy a license, Nevada requires that hunters who were born after January 1, 1960, must first complete a course approved by the Nevada Department of Wildlife and IHEA-USA.
